From blues bars across the USA to English taverns and even the Sydney Opera House, Australian based guitarist Geoff Achison has been impressing audiences around the world with his unique talent.

Geoff first attracted attention as the young hotshot guitarist in Dutch Tilders' Blues Club band before going out on his own and winning the coveted Albert King Award in Memphis, USA.

He has released seven solo albums to date featuring acoustic, electric, solo and group recordings the latest of which is an eclectic mix of all of the above.

Through travelling and touring, Geoff has built his reputation on his live performances, transporting his audiences from the gentlest of ballads to the most electrifying rave-up and back again.

We are in for a real treat when in addition to his solo performance, Geoff turns up with Lloyd Spiegel at this years Festival for a very special duo show.

Geoff Achison and the Souldiggers won Duo or Group of the Year at the 2007 Australian Blues Music 'Chain' Awards.

Geoff also featured at the very first Australian Blues Music Festival in 1997. When he returned in 2004 at the Australian Blues Music Festival in he was joined onstage for a finale with his former master, Dutch Tilders. In 2007 Geoff performed solo and for one very special duo show when he was joined by his former pupil Lloyd Spiegel.
