2012 Festival AnnouncementsFIRST ARTISTS CONFIRMED FOR 2012 AUSTRALIAN BLUES MUSIC FESTIVAL US bluesman Eugene 'Hideaway' Bridges leads the list of artists confirmed to play the 2012 Australian Blues Music Festival in Goulburn. The Louisiana born guitarist/vocalist will play one of the festival's ticketed shows with Chase the Sun and Claude Hay featuring on the other. The Wild Man of Australian Blues Hat Fitz along with his Irish compatriot, Cara Robinson, makes his way back to Goulburn in 2012 as does Guitar slinger P.J. O'Brien. Victorian acts Dream Boogie, Shaun Kirk and Diana Wolfe & the Black Sheep, after impressing this year, all return in 2012 along with 2011 Busker's Competition winners, Western Australia's The Resonators. Tabasco Tom & Doc White, Dan Hannaford and Rory Ellis will make their first trips to the festival. More acts will be announced over the next two weeks. Held on the second weekend of February each year in the Southern New South Wales city, the festival features a mix of free-entry and ticketed events across the weekend with the Australian Blues Music Awards announced on Thursday night and markets in the park on Saturday and Sunday. The 2012 dates are Thursday 9th - Sunday 12th February. The Buskers Competition will be running on Friday and Saturday with the winner offered a paid spot on the following year's festival.
