Pigfoot Fever (NSW)
So you think blues is all about grungy guitars and every song starting my woman dang left me? Maybe for some, but not for Pigfoot Fever. The blues is a statement about life and life is to be enjoyed.
This is blues reminiscent of the 50s, 60s & 70s. It goes from (re)arrangements of the greats of the era such as Ray Charles, Etta James, Cannonball Adderly, Nina Simone, to the bands own contemporary sound.
Pigfoot Fever spent their first two years playing a variety of combinations but now comprise a core line-up of two female vocalists, drums, bass, guitar and trumpet/sax, augmented by keyboards and additional brass to suit the occasion.
This band can take a swag of blues tunes and turn them into a back to back groove of grind and bump that will set any hips swingin; dont think blues depression, think soulful blues infection.
Its music played with panache, style and enthusiasm. That is why it sounds fresh, exciting and contemporary. Music you can dance to, croon to, be moved by, in short, music to enjoy on any and every occasion.
Let your senses be infected. Let your body be effected. Let your emotions be subjected to Pigfootfever.
