Rosie Burgess (VIC)
Playing straight from the heart, Rosie sings up a
storm every time she takes the stage. Her music flows out - at times edgy
and intense, at times raw and beautiful, it is always original and
gripping. With her home-made stomp box, wailing harmonicas and bottleneck
slide guitar, she moves through blues, to roots and back to folk with a
voice that captivates crowds wherever she goes.
"When you have heard Rosie perform, you're sure to be tongue-tied trying to tell people how good she is..." says Dave Ritter, organiser of the Bruthen Festival of Blues and Arts.
2007 has been exciting year for Rosie Burgess, with gigs and festival appearances all over Australia. Her music has been enjoying radio play on both community radio stations, nationwide, and Triple J. Her travels have seen Rosie play along side some of Australia's finest musicians at our best festivals, including Ash Grunwald, Mia Dyson, Deborah Conway, Chris Wilson and Blue King Brown.
With her latest album, 'Humble Pie', spinning on radio stations nationally, Rosie's quirky and original tunes are charming audiences across the country. Her high energy live shows, and unique brand of folk/roots and blues have secured her a growing fan base of acoustic roots and folk lovers around the globe.
Combining humor, with a real love of music, Rosie Burgess brings fun with her to the stage, for a heartfelt performance.
