The Blinders (NSW)
With music that embodies a myriad of styles, The Blinders play a mix of the swing/jump'n' jive/blues/rockabilly/country sounds of the 40s & 50s.
With influences such as Louis Jordan, Fats Domino, Big Joe Turner and The Drifters, you'll be out of your seats and on the dance floor from the first note.
A feature of the bands sound is the absence of guitar, the line-up consisting of sax, piano, bass & drums. With three vocalists, there is also a strong focus on harmonies.
This local Goulburn band has performed in various pubs, clubs and festivals in 2004 and 2005. Their self-titled 5-track CD contains a mixture of original songs and standards.
The Blinders are:
Steve O'Connell - sax &vocals
Noel Jeremy - piano, organ & vocals
Ron McLaughlin - bass & vocals
Geoff Brown - drums
